Duck Dinner Came to Him

Detroit News, May 4, 1905

I am clearly the Edgar A. Guest of Yondotega Club history research bringing to the people the tabloid talk of the newspapers. Allen Edwards, presumably a club member himself, was all the talk of high society meetings due to a story he told of being struck by four falling ducks one evening about midnight while waiting for an interurban. The ducks had hit a light post and died at his feet. The next night they fed a dinner party at his home.
