Here is a photo of Yetta Rupp and Thomas Spencer Jerome from the Charles Lang Freer collection. Yetta was much maligned in Jamies James' book Pagan Lights: Dreams of Freedom and Beauty in Capri as being a gypsy-faced mulatto, domineering and outright hostile to the friends of Jerome.
I'm not sure where this photo was taken but it must have been before Freer and Jerome's falling out over Yetta's behavior. While they still remained friends, he refused to visit while she resided there and eventually sold his share in the property in 1906.
In defense of her, there is no real public information on the woman that I could find from brief searches and most of the biographical material must have come from private correspondences.
